Eventually, I could possibly help you make this automatic. Aka a turn starting every so often (Hourly? Daily) and a date and some random stats for that turn

Example:
Date: 1600

Stone: 50/Ton
Wood: 20/Ton
Clay: 5/Ton

The rescources (Stone, Wood, Clay) Would be things you could have peasants gather and sell. You could buy different units, and attack other countries.
